Forty years “Hotel Marinela” Sofia

On May 24, 1979, exactly 40 years ago, was cut the ribbon, marking the opening of Vitosha-New Otani. This hotel symbolizes warm Bulgarian-Japanese relations, an emblem of top-class services, and proof of how under one roof can sleep Helmut Kohl and Ali Agca, Emperor Akihito, Carlos Chakala, Ennio Morricone, Ornela Muti, and dozens of Hollywood celebrities and world diplomats.
On April 22, 2019, The piano recital was held, organized by the Friends of Japan in Bulgaria Club and the Marinela Sofia Hotel – the first official event of the holiday calendar celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the Japanese Hotel.
