For another year, the teams of Marinela Sofia Hotel joined the national initiative “Let’s clean Bulgaria together.”

The campaign “Let’s clean Bulgaria together” by bTV Media Group aims to build public awareness on environmental protection issues in order to make Bulgaria cleaner and more beautiful in the long run.
The Great Cleaning of Bulgaria is part of World Cleaning Day. In Bulgaria, it starts on September 14, 2019, and will end in Hawaii on the night of September 21. The global initiative in 2018 includes 159 countries and 36 million people from all over the world.
Since its launch, “Let’s clean Bulgaria together” has received the support of over 2,050,000 volunteers from all over the country. According to the Ministry of Environment and Water, nearly 90,000 tons of waste were collected for the same period. From the map of Bulgaria, more than 13,700 unregulated landfills and contaminated areas have disappeared.
Hotel Marinela joined the initiative for another year. Employes from different departments and positions such as sales, accounting, housekeeping, F&B gathered and allied forces in cleaning the areas around the hotel and the municipality of Lozenets. With teamwork, a good mood, and lots of smiles, we collected a lot of waste!
Although garbage is an inevitable part of tourism, we believe that its existence must be managed wisely and reduce its negative impact on the environment.
