Business Lady Magazine presented its “COMPANY OF THE YEAR” awards for the third time
On April 19, 2017, at a lavish ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, Sofia had presented the annual awards “COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2016” for the third year. The official ceremony was initiated and organized by the only information publication with a business focus and a ladies’ audience, “Business Lady” and Business Lady Club. Partners of the award were the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bulgarian Forum of Business Leaders, the Bulgarian Council for Sustainable Development, the North American-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, the Bulgaria-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce, and the Bulgarian People Management Association.
A total of 18 companies, institutions, and the media received official recognition for their efforts to develop human capital; improving the quality of the offered product or service; competitiveness and innovation; Sustainable Development; know-how; effective and innovative management; introduction of new technologies; implementation of successful business practices; positioning in foreign markets; social responsibility; positive public image.
In the TOURISM category, the prize was awarded to Hotel Marinela Sofia, the “FASTEST DEVELOPING AND INNOVATIVE CITY HOTEL.” The award was presented by AR. Vessela Valcheva-McGee, Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Council for Sustainable Development. The award was given to Plamen Hutov, General Manager of the Marinela Hotel.
The Company of the Year Awards aims to publicize good business practices, promote thriving industries globally and locally, and focus public attention on innovative and up-to-date business and company management models. Thus Entrepreneurship was encouraged among the Bulgarian public. The Business Lady Awards are a continuation of the main goal of the publication – to share successful business models to be a platform for various professional successes, personal qualities, and achievements.
