Studio Kurokawa delighted with the hotel “Marinela”
The Executive Director of the Japanese architectural bureau Kisho Kurokawa Architect & Associates, which participated in the construction of hotel “Vitosha New Otani” in 1974-1979, the Akira Kumazawa take a tour around the hotel “Marinela” and praised the direction of the hotel development and its architectural value. According to him the design philosophy embodied by world-renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa is fully preserved till our days. In view of the time, the changes that are coming are inevitable and they will be entirely consistent with the ideas of the Japanese architectural firm.
At the beginning of the new year will start the renovation of the hotel, and the new design of the rooms will be in sync with Japanese minimalism and attention to detail. Clear vision, natural materials and interior creating a sense of comfort, warmth and comfort are the key aspects of the new vision.
Architect Akira Kumazawa was extremely impressed by the interior project for renovation of the hotel rooms, created by Marinela Arabadzhieva and defined it as “impressive and unique, combining excellent traditional and modern art.”
Hotel “Marinela” has successfully preserved the line of Japanese architecture embedded in the construction of the hotel, copyrights belonging entirely to the architects “Kisho Kurokawa Architect & Associates” in the face of its Executive Director Akira Kumazawa identify the hotel as a place that continues to remind good traditional relationship between the land of the rising sun, Japan and Bulgaria.
Architect Kumazawa and management of hotel “Marinela” held a working meeting with the Japanese Embassy and Second Secretary for Economic Affairs, Mr Hitoshi Hatta and Mr. Susumu Ueda. During the meeting were discussed future business projects and collaborative cultural initiatives.
